2012 SEASON (REDSHIRT): Sat out the entire season as a redshirt in the Bison program...2011 SEASON (FRESHMAN): Played at the University of Mary in Bismarck, N.D...Leading hitter for the Marauders, a Division II program that went 10-32 overall and 6-28 in the Northern Sun conference...Hit .339 with nine doubles and 14 RBIs in 41 games and made 38 starts...Drew a team-best 27 walks and struck out only 10 times...Also led the club with six sacrifice bunts...HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated in 2010 from Bismarck Century High School...Four-year letterwinner...Two-time all-conference and all-state performer...Played for the Bismarck Governors American Legion program that went 40-10 his final season...Led the BGovs with a .494 batting average, four home runs and 45 RBIs and hit safely in all 46 games he played...Also played basketball for Century High...PERSONAL: Son of Eldon and Valerie Leapaldt of Bismarck...His cousin, Andy Leapaldt, played baseball at NDSU in 2001...Majoring in exercise science with a minor in business.
