ABILENE, Texas – The North Dakota State baseball team picked up two wins over Abilene Christian on Saturday at Crutcher Scott Field. The Bison took game one, 7-4, before wrapping up the day with a 4-0 win over the Wildcats.

In game one, Abilene Christian (1-2) stole the early lead, 2-0, in the second inning after Brett Hammit connected a two-run home run into left field. The Bison (2-1) responded in the fourth inning erupting for three runs after Jack Simonsen delivered an RBI single and Druw Sackett notched a two RBI double into left field to steal the lead, 3-2.

After a Wildcat run in the fifth, NDSU added on an insurance run in the eighth inning following an RBI single from Anderson to grow the lead to 7-3. ACU attempted to rally pushing one run across in the eighth inning, but Jake Drew closed out the final 1.1 innings tossing two strikeouts to secure the win, 7-4.
