FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State throwers Katelyn Weimerskirch and Courtney Pasiowitz both posted marks that rank 25th in the NCAA this season to headline the performances of the Bison women's track & field team at a home meet on Friday.

Weimerskirch, a junior from East Dubuque, Ill., broke her own school record in the discus, adding five feet to her previous best with a throw of 177-11 (54.24m). Weimerskirch moved up to No. 25 in the NCAA in the discus this year, in addition to being No. 31 nationally in the hammer and No. 76 in the shot put.

Pasiowitz, a junior from Coon Rapids, Minn., registered a significant outdoor personal-best in the shot put, throwing 54-00.50 (16.47m) to win the event and set a new facility record. Pasiowitz now ranks 25th in the NCAA in the shot put this season after pulling within two inches of Emily Lesser's school record of 54-02.00.

Freshman Keyawna Larson took the javelin title with a personal-best throw of 149-3 (45.50m), moving her up to No. 3 in NDSU history. Sophomore Hannah Frost won the hammer throw with a new personal-best mark of 195-2 (59.49m), ranking her third all-time at NDSU in the event.

In all, the Bison women's throwers posted a total of five season-best marks that rank in the NCAA's top 100 at Friday's meet.

Senior Brittany Stangl won the pole vault with a clearance of 13-02.25 (4.02m). Bison freshman Klara Lyon placed third, clearing a season-best 12-08.25 (3.87m) to stand at No. 4 on the NDSU all-time list.

Unattached NDSU freshman Maggie Schwarzkopf posted a shot put mark of 48-08.25 (14.84m) for a runner-up finish. That mark would rank her eighth in NDSU history.

Allie Lahren posted a wind-aided career-best to win the long jump, leaping 19-05.50 (5.93m). Ann Govig cleared 5-05.25 (1.66m) in the high jump for a runner-up finish.

Strong winds contributed to several impressive wind-aided winning times for the Bison. Gabby Grommesh won the 100m in 11.98 seconds, and Alexis Woods took the 200m in 24.24 seconds. Other individual winners on the track for the Bison included Jenny Guibert (800m) and Sydney Bork (3000m steeplechase).

NDSU won the 4x100m relay in 46.90 seconds with the team of Deidre Hahn, Morgan Milbrath, Grommesh and Amanda Levin.

The Bison will travel to Vermillion, S.D., next week to compete at the Summit League Outdoor Championships on May 12-14.
