BOSTON – Former North Dakota State NCAA champion and 2012 London Olympian Amanda Smock captured her fourth consecutive indoor national title in the triple jump on Sunday, winning the event at the USATF Indoor Championships with a jump of 43-07.00 (13.28m).

Four of Smock's six attempts on the day exceeded the best mark from second-place finisher Kenna Wolter.

It was Smock's seventh American title in the triple jump. Along with the 2012, 2013 and 2014 indoor crowns, she won the outdoor championship in 2011, 2012 and 2014.

Smock was the only American woman to represent the United States in the triple jump at the 2012 London Games, and she was a 13-time All-American from 2001-04 at NDSU. She won NCAA indoor titles in the triple jump in 2002 and 2004 and won the outdoor title in 2003.

Also at the USATF Indoor Championships on Sunday, former NDSU All-American Leslie Brost earned a sixth-place finish in the pole vault. Brost cleared three bars, topping out at 14-05.25 (4.40m). She came up just one centimeter shy of her lifetime-best mark of 14-05.50 (4.41m) established earlier this season.
