Kyle Emanuel was selected as the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) FCS National Defensive Lineman of the Week and FCS National Defensive Performer of the Week, while punter
Ben LeCompte was selected as the CFPA FCS National Punter of the Week. The honors were announced Tuesday, Nov. 4.
Emanuel finished Saturday's 37-17 home win over No. 18/19-ranked South Dakota State with a career-high 10 tackles, including 4.0 sacks and 4.5 tackles for loss. He also forced a fumble and recorded a quarterback hurry in the contest. LeCompte finished the game with a 64.5-yard average and both punts over 60 yards.
In addition to the honors for Emanuel and LeCompte, running back
John Crockett was selected as Honorable Mention after posting 152 yards and two touchdowns on 28 carries. Crockett also added a 5-yard reception in the game.
According to the CFPA's team performance index and efficiency data, NDSU is currently the highest performing team in the Football Championship Subdivision.
North Dakota State (9-0, 5-0 MVFC) travels to face No. 19/20-ranked Northern Iowa (5-4, 3-2 MVFC) this Saturday, Nov. 8.
