Football Finalizes Schedule With Home Game Against Ferris State on Sept. 7

North Dakota State athletic director Gene Taylor today announced the addition of a sixth home football game to finalize NDSU's 11-game schedule for the 2013 season.
North Dakota State will host Ferris State (Mich.) University in the home opener at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at Gate City Bank Field. The Bulldogs went 7-4 last season including a 6-4 record in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
This will be NDSU's second matchup with Ferris State. The Bison outlasted Ferris State 55-35 in the 1999 season opener in the Fargodome. NDSU is 10-5 against current members of the GLIAC (1-0 Ashland, 1-0 Ferris State, 0-1 Grand Valley State, 8-4 Northern Michigan).
North Dakota State opens the 2013 season at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 at Kansas State, televised nationally on Fox Sports 1.
Other home dates include Delaware State at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, Northern Iowa at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, Missouri State for the annual homecoming game at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, Illinois State at 2:30 p.m. Nov. 9 for the Harvest Bowl, and South Dakota to close the regular season at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23.
North Dakota State won its second straight NCAA Division I FCS championship with a 39-13 win over Sam Houston State and also claimed the program's second Missouri Valley Football Conference title. The Bison were 14-1 overall and 7-1 in MVFC.
