FARGO, N.D. - A.J. Jacobson of Shanley High School in
Fargo and Carlin Dupree of Bay View High School in Milwaukee have signed
National Letters of Intent to continue their education and play men's
basketball at North Dakota State University.
NDSU head coach Saul Phillips made the announcement
Wednesday, Nov. 14, the first day of the one-week early signing period.
Jacobson, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard, averaged 23.8 points, 10.9
rebounds, 4.2 assists, 2.9 blocks and 2.5 steals per game last year for the
Deacons, who went 19-6 and were Class A state finalists. Jacobson is a two-time all-conference and
all-state pick in basketball, and is a two-time all-state performer in soccer.
Dupree, a 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard, averaged 14.5 points, 7.7
rebounds, 6.2 assists, 1.4 blocks and 3.3 steals per game last year for
Milwaukee Bay View, which finished 7-17. He made the All-City Conference second team.
North Dakota State
(1-1) hosts Mayville State in non-conference action at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Bison are picked to finish second in The
Summit League after tying for fourth place last year and finishing 17-14
overall with an appearance in the College Basketball Invitational.
