ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State libero Andrea Henning was named Summit League women's volleyball Defensive Player of the Week by the league office Monday, Nov. 5.
Henning, a senior from Jackson, Wis., averaged 6.43 digs per set including 27 in a four-set win at Kansas City and 18 in a three-set loss at South Dakota. She was errorless in 35 serve receptions.
It was Henning's first career award and NDSU's second of the season. Middle hitter Megan Lambertson was co-Offensive Player of the Week on Oct. 1.
South Dakota's Kendall Kritenbrink was named Offensive Player of the Week after recording 16 kills against South Dakota State and 17 against NDSU. She averaged 5.50 kills per set in the two victories.
Sixth-place North Dakota State (11-16, 7-8) hosts fourth-place South Dakota State (16-12, 8-7) at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
