The North Dakota State soccer team had five women honored by The Summit League on Thursday evening, as sophomore forward Anisha Kinnarath headlined the Bison honors with a first-team All-Summit League selection.
Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Sierra Bonham, senior defender Holly Christian and senior midfielder Jordyn Wallenborn were second-team honorees. Bonham and defender Meghan Johnston were named to the league's All-Freshman team.
North Dakota State matched Oakland and Fort Wayne with a total of four recipients on the first and second teams to lead the conference.
Kinnarath owns five goals and seven assists on the season, making her the only player in The Summit League with at least five in each category. She leads the league with five assists, 18 shots on goal and 34 total shots in conference matches. Kinnarath was selected to the Summit League All-Freshman team in 2011.
Bonham ranked third in the league with an .842 save percentage in conference matches, posting a 1.10 goals against average. She led the Bison to a 5-3 record in the league and recorded two shutouts against conference opponents. On the season, her 102 saves rank No. 2 all-time on the NDSU single-season list, and her average of 6.38 saves per match is on pace to set a new school record.
Christian tallied two goals on the season and anchored the Bison defense that helped North Dakota State finish the season with four wins in its last five games. For the second straight season, she has started every game for the Bison. Christian was selected to the All-Summit League second team in 2011.
Wallenborn scored four goals on the season, including three in conference play and a two-goal game against South Dakota State on Sept. 29. She ranks second on the team with 26 shots and 11 shots on goal.
Johnston started 15-of-17 games for the Bison on the back line as a true freshman. She scored the game-winning goal for NDSU in a 2-1 win over Kansas City in a pivotal league match on Oct. 21.
North Dakota State meets Fort Wayne in a Summit League semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday evening at Fishback Soccer Park in Brookings, S.D.
