North Dakota State senior Jordyn Wallenborn was named the women's soccer Offensive Player of the Week in The Summit League on Monday for her performance on Sept. 29.
Wallenborn earned her first career Offensive Player of the Week nod after leading the Bison to a 2-1 league win over South Dakota State in double overtime. The senior midfielder tallied both NDSU goals with her first, the equalizer, coming in the 81st minute to force overtime. She netted the match-winner with just 40 seconds remaining in the second overtime period for the win.
For the week, Wallenborn had four points (two goals) on three shots and a match-winner. The Camas, Wash., native is now tied for the NDSU team lead with three goals on the season.
The Bison will hit the road for two league matches this weekend, taking on Oakland on Oct. 5 and Fort Wayne on Oct. 7.
