ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State middle hitter Megan Lambertson was named Summit League women's volleyball co-Offensive Player of the Week by the league office Monday, Oct. 1.
Lambertson, a senior from Litchfield, Minn., hit .508 and averaged 4.11 kills per set as the Bison split a two-match road trip.
She led NDSU to a 3-1 win at Oakland with 16 kills and only two errors in 27 attempts, and followed that with a career-high 21 kills and nine digs in Saturday's five-set loss at Fort Wayne.
It was the third career award and first of the season for Lambertson, who has hit .400 or better in seven of the last eight matches and leads the Summit League-only stats in hitting by 60 points.
Fort Wayne setter Megan Steenhuysen was also named Offensive Player of the Week after averaging 13.88 assists per set, and IPFW libero Tessa McGill was named Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 6.12 digs per set in home wins over South Dakota State and NDSU.
North Dakota State (5-11, 2-4) is scheduled to host South Dakota at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 5, and Kansas City at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
