The North Dakota State men's cross country team will head to Palo Alto, Calif., this week to take part in the Stanford Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 29. The men's 8k race at Stanford University Golf Course is scheduled to start at approximately 11:50 a.m. (CT).
The meet will be NDSU's third competition of the season, and sophomore Grady Anderson has been the top finisher for the Bison for each of the first two races. Anderson placed 10th at the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., on Sept. 14, as NDSU had four underclassmen as its top four finishers.
Sophomore Brett Kelly was not far behind Anderson, taking 14th place in 26:30.52. Redshirt freshman Brendan Skime and sophomore Lucas DeGree were 18th and 20th, respectively.
Of the six Bison who also competed at the Bison Invitational on Aug. 31, five improved their eight-kilometer times by more than 15 seconds at the SDSU Classic on Sept. 14. NDSU earned a third-place team finish.
