PRIMM, Nev. - Three players set or tied season lows and the North Dakota State men's golf team shot its second-best round of the season Monday, March 12, at the Jackrabbit Invitational at the Primm Valley Desert Course.

North Dakota State shot a 306 in the opening round and a 296 in the second round to finish the day 12th with a 599.  Idaho leads the 15-team event with a 561 and host South Dakota State is six shots back in second with a 567.

NDSU junior Nathan Anderson shot a season-low 71 in the second round and is tied for 17th place at even-par 144.  Idaho's Jarred Bossio shot two 68s for the individual lead at 136 and teammate Shawn McMullen is one shot back after rounds of 66 and 71.

Bison junior Nate Varty is tied for 40th with a 149 after tying his season low with a 72 in the second round, freshman Bill Carlson is tied for 52nd with a 151 including a low of 75 in the first round.

Also for NDSU, senior Zach Stenstad is tied for 69th with a 155 and sophomore Kyle Jandro is tied for 78th with a 163.

The final round of the 54-hole tournament is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13.
