FARGO, N.D.--Megan Swan of Tippecanoe High School in Tipp City, Ohio, has signed a National Letter of Intent to play women’s golf and continue her education at North Dakota State University.

NDSU head coach Matt Johnson made the announcement Wednesday, Nov. 11, the first day of the one-week early signing period.

Swan, who averaged a 77 as a senior this year, was the seventh-place finisher in the Ohio Division 1 state tournament and made the All-Ohio second team. She was the state runner-up in Division 2 as a junior and was a four-time all-conference performer.

Swan finished 10th at the American Junior Golf Association’s Virginian Championship and placed fourth at the PGA Junior Series event at Purdue won by current NDSU freshman Amy Anderson.

Her older sister, Nikki, played four years of college golf for Oakland University and made three Top 20 finishes in The Summit League.

North Dakota State placed sixth at the Summit League championship last season. NDSU is scheduled to begin its spring schedule Feb. 27-28 at the Northern Arizona Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz.
