 DeHoff's Take: “They say athletes come back better after an injury.  From a physical and visual standpoint, that is exactly where Abby is right now.   She became a student of the game last year while rehabbing her shoulder.  She devoted herself to learning the details of the game, growing as a leader, and going beyond her comfort zone.  Her teammates, the staff, and Bison fans are filled with enthusiasm for her to return to the hardwood.”

 

The 2008-09 Season: Had season cut short with shoulder injury in second half at Denver in December ... Started in nine games ... Averaged 14.2 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 31.1 minutes per game ... Connected on 43.8 percent from the field including 34.6 percent from three-point ... Hit 79.4 percent from the free throw line ... Scored in double-figures in eight games including a career-high 20 points vs. Georgetown (11-28-08) at LMU Ayres Thanksgiving tournament ... Hit 9 of 10 free throws on her way to 19 points vs. Idaho State in third place game ... Earned all-tourney honors at Loyola Marymount ...
