FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State University running back Pat Paschall has been invited to the National Football League Scouting Combine to be held Feb. 24-March 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The 2010 Scouting Combine is the annual job fair for prospective new NFL players. For six days at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, players are put through a series of drills, tests and interviews with more than 600 NFL personnel including head coaches, general managers and scouts. Paschall, a 5-foot-11 1/2 senior from St. Louis, Mo., became the first Bison player to earn first team Sports Network, Associated Press, AFCA Coaches Division I FCS All-America honors. He was also named to the Walter Camp Football Foundation FCS All-America team. Paschall was second in Missouri Valley Football Offensive Player of the Year balloting to Southern Illinois running back Deji Karim and a first-team All-MVFC selection. Paschall finished No. 1 in rushing in the NCAA Division I FCS statistics, averaging 139.70 yards per game. Paschall was also 5th in scoring (9.6 ppg) and 9th in all-purpose yards (158.30) nationally. Paschall rushed 27 times for 140 yards and three touchdowns in North Dakota State's 39-35 loss to Youngstown State on Nov. 21. He finished the season with 1,397 yards and 16 TDs on 207 rushes for an average of 6.75 yards per carry. It was the 10th 100-yard rushing effort for Paschall in 10 games this season and the 14th 100-yard rushing performance in his Bison career. For more information, http://www.nfl.com/combine |
