NDSU's Anderson Finishes Second at UC Irvine, Bison 10th

SANTA ANA, Calif. - North Dakota State's Amy Anderson shot a 1-over-par 73 and finished second at the UC Irvine Invitational presented by Kia on Tuesday, Feb. 26, at the Santa Ana Country Club.
Anderson, a senior from Oxbow, N.D., finished the 54-hole tournament at 3-over 219 four shots back of individual champion Alice Kim of Gonzaga. Kim earned an exemption into the LPGA's 2013 Kia Classic with the win.
North Dakota State placed 10th out of 12 teams with a three-round score of 957. Gonzaga won the team title with an 885, UC Irvine was second with a 907 and Long Beach State third with a 914.
NDSU's Cydney Hasselberg shot an 83 in the final round and tied for 46th place overall with a 240. Abby Knutson shot a 78 and tied for 56th at 247, Hailey Boner scored an 81 and placed 62nd with a 254, and Sarah Storandt carded an 84 to finish 63rd with a 256.
North Dakota State is off until March 11-12 when the Bison play in the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational at the Primm Valley Golf Club in Primm, Nev.
