NDSU Women Tied for Sixth After Two Rounds at Kansas

LAWRENCE, Kan. - The North Dakota State women's golf team is tied for sixth place after two rounds at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational on Monday, Sept. 24, at the Alvamar Golf Club.

North Dakota State shot rounds of 320 and 314 and is tied with Arkansas-Little Rock at 634.  Tournament host Kansas has a 601 and leads the 13-team event by 16 strokes over Arkansas State.

NDSU senior Amy Anderson is in third place at 3-over-par 147 after rounds of 75 and 72.  Arkansas State's Abigail Laker leads at 1-under 143 and Yupaporn Kawinpakorn of Kansas is second at 2-over 146.

NDSU's Abby Knutson is tied for 24th place with a 159 and Hailey Boner is tied for 29th with a 160.  Both players shot 79 in the first round.

Sarah Storandt scored an 87 and 81 for the Bison and is alone in 57th place with a 168.  NDSU's Megan Swan is tied for 62nd with a 171 after rounds of 89 and 82.

The final round is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25.
