Courtesy: The Summit LeagueELMHURST, Ill.--North Dakota State landed 86 student-athletes on the Summit League Commissioner's List of Academic Excellence announced Monday, June 29.
A total of 803 student-athletes from the league's 19 sponsored sports were honored for their academic excellence. Twenty-one honorees had perfect 4.0 grade-point averages.
Oakland led the way with a league-best 146 selections to the list, edging out South Dakota State and Western Illinois, which had 117 and 108 recipients, respectively. NDSU was fourth.
Student-athletes who have sophomore academic standing, have used a year of eligibility, and have achieved at least a 3.00 cumulative grade-point average were eligible for selection to the commissioner's list. True freshmen, redshirt freshmen and first-year transfers were not eligible.
