Anderson Leads After First Round of Quintero Invitational

PEORIA, Ariz. - North Dakota State's Nathan Anderson is in first place after the opening round of the Quintero Invitational on Monday, Feb. 27 at the Quintero Golf and Country Club.
Anderson shot a season-best even-par 72 and birdied five holes despite wind gusts of over 40 miles an hour. Creighton's Kevin Stanek and John Rasmussen are second and third, respectively. Stanek shot a 5-over 77 and Rasmussen shot a 6-over 78.
The Bluejays lead the tournament with a first round team score of 322. The Bison are six strokes back with a score of 328. Nebraska-Omaha is third with a 333.
NDSU's Bill Carlson and Trent Olson are tied for ninth after recording an opening round score of 84. Zach Stenstad is tied for 13th with an 88 and Kyle Jandro is 18th with a 97.
The final round of the Quintero Invitational will begin at 11 a.m. MT Tuesday, Feb. 28.
