Jandro, Stenstad Pace Bison to Season-Low Round at Cleveland State

BEACHWOOD, Ohio - Kyle Jandro and Zach Stenstad each shot 2-over-par 73 to lead the North Dakota State men's golf team to a fourth-place finish at the Cleveland State Invitational on Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Canterbury Golf Club.
IPFW won the tournament with a 289, Cleveland State was second with a 294, Austin Peay State was third with a 295, and NDSU shot a season-low round of 298 to tie Oakland for fourth place. Fourteen teams competed.
Jandro, Stenstad and NDSU individual Ursinio Puga were all part of a tie for ninth place at 2-over 73. Cleveland State's Andrew Bailey shot a 3-under 68 to win the individual title by one shot over IPFW's Bruno Carvalho.
Nate Varty scored a 75 for NDSU and tied for 24th place, and Bill Carlson scored a 77 in a tie for 45th place. Nathan Anderson tied for 71st overall with an 81.
The tournament was scheduled for 54 holes, but Monday's two 18-hole rounds were both rained out.
North Dakota State is off until Oct. 17-18 when the Bison travel to UMKC for the Bill Ross Intercollegiate.
