NDSU's Olson Wins Erv Kaiser Invitational; Manitoba Takes Team Title

OXBOW, N.D. - North Dakota State freshman Trent Olson shot an even-par 72 in the final round to win NDSU's Erv Kaiser Invitational on his home course at Oxbow Country Club on Tuesday, Sept. 20.
Olson, who shot a 1-under 71 in Monday's second round, finished with a 3-over 219 to win by three shots over Manitoba's Bobby Wiebe. NDSU junior Nathan Anderson from Oxbow was third with a 223.
Manitoba had four top-10 finishers and shot the best round of the day with a 299 to win the team title by five shots over South Dakota, which shot a 304 Tuesday. Two-time defending champion Green Bay was third.
Olson and Anderson led North Dakota State's second squad to a sixth-place finish. NDSU's first team placed seventh led by Zach Stenstad's 230, which tied for 14th overall.
North Dakota State is scheduled to play in the Cleveland State Invitational on Monday, Oct. 3, and Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Canterbury Golf Club.
