Puga, Bison Men Lead After First Day of Green Bay Invitational

GREEN BAY, Wis. - North Dakota State leads by two shots and NDSU's Ursinio Puga is the individual leader after the first round of the Green Bay Invitational men's golf tournament Monday, Sept. 12, at the Green Bay Country Club.

North Dakota State's second team shot a 298 led by Nate Varty's even-par 72 and Oliver Boeckel's 73.  St. Ambrose and Butler are tied for second at 300, and Green Bay is fourth with a 301.

Puga shot a 1-under-par 71 to pace NDSU's first team, which is in fifth place with a 304.  Zach Stenstad shot a 75.

Central College of Iowa and Lewis University are tied for sixth at 312, Green Bay's second team is eighth with a 313, and Chicago State is ninth with a 351.

The second round is scheduled to start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13.
