FORT WAYNE, Ind.--The North Dakota State men's golf team is in sixth place after the first two rounds of the IPFW Fall Classic on Monday, Oct. 13, at Chestnut Hills Golf Club.

North Dakota State shot rounds of 301 and 297 for a first-day total of 598.  Loyola Chicago leads the six-team field with a 557, Butler is second with a 582, and Wisconsin-Green Bay is third with a 583.

Joe Schornack is the top Bison golfer through two rounds in 14th place with a 147.  Schornack carded a double eagle on the par five, 575-yard ninth hole using a driver off the tee and a six iron from the fairway to hole out.

NDSU's Aaron Wheeler is 19th with a 149, Taylor Cavanagh is tied for 26th with a 152, and Lee Cavanagh and Pat Deitz are part of a four-way tie for 28th with 153s.

NDSU has two individuals in the tournament.  Adam Gronaas is tied for 32nd with a 154 and Joe Zimmerman is 40th with a 162.

Loyola Chicago golfers have the top two spots on the leaderboard.  Armando Favela shot rounds of 66 and 68 for a 10-under-par 134, and Favela is six strokes ahead of teammate Dylan Gergen.

The final round is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
