NDSU Softball Hitting, Catching, Slap Hitting & Pitching Academys Scheduled

North Dakota State Softball Fall Hitting Academy
10th–12th Grade on Mondays in Sept. 10, 17, 24, Oct. 1
Session 1: 6-7 p.m.; Session 2: 7-8 p.m.
7th–9th Grade on Wednesdays in Sept. 12, 19, 26, Oct. 3
Session 1: 6-7 p.m.; Session 2: 7-8 p.m.

Location: Ellig Sports Complex
One hour time slots
$100 for ALL four time slots
Four (4) sessions available.  
Limited to 10 hitters per session

The Hitting Academy is designed to provide an introductory level of instruction to the NDSU hitting mechanics, philosophy and daily training regimens. It will provide each participant with an understanding of drills and the areas that need to be improved to enhance performance. The academy is great for a tune up for the spring season. The academy is open to all girls in grades 7–12 that are looking to advance their hitting mechanics and hitting knowledge.

North Dakota State Softball Fall Catching Academy
Tuesdays on Sept. 11, 18, 25, Oct. 2
Beginner Session 1: 6-7 p.m.; Intermediate Session 2: 7–8 p.m.

Location: Ellig Sports Complex
One hour time slots

Two (2) sessions available
Catchers need to bring ALL of their catching equipment
 
The Catching Academy is designed to provide an introductory level of instruction to the NDSU catching philosophy, daily training regimens, blocking, footwork, framing, and much more. It will provide each participant with an understanding of catching, and what areas they need to improve in. The academy is great for a tune up or an introduction to catching. The academy is open to all girls in grades 7–12 who are interested in learning more about catching fastpitch softball pitchers.

Beginner Session 1: 6–7 p.m.; Intermediate Session 2: 7-8 p.m.

The Slap Hitting Academy is designed to provide an introductory level of instruction to the NDSU mechanics of slapping and the philosophy and daily training regimens. The hard slap, soft slap, chop slap and bunting mechanics will be taught.  It will provide each participant with an understanding of drills and the areas that need to be improved to enhance performance. The academy is great for a tune up for the spring season. The academy is open to all girls in grades 7–12 that are looking to learn or to  advance their slap hitting mechanics and techniques.

Tuesdays on Sept. 11, 18, 25, Oct. 2 (10th–12th Grades)
Beginner Session 1: 6–7 p.m.; Intermediate Session 2: 7–8 p.m.
Thursdays on September 13th, 20th, 27th  & October 4th  (7th–9th Grades)
Beginner Session 1: 6-7 p.m.; Intermediate Session 2: 7–8 p.m.

4 sessions available
Each session will be limited to 8 pitchers
Each pitcher MUST provide their own catchers and catching gear.
The catcher does not pay for the clinic, and parents are welcome to catch their daughters.
Please bring catching gear for the catcher if they are still in school.

The Pitching Academy is designed to provide an introductory level of instruction to the NDSU pitching philosophy, daily training regimens, delivery drills and pitches. It will provide each participant with an understanding of her pitching motion, her pitches and the area that need to be improved to enhance the pitching performance. The academy is great for a tune up or an introduction to pitching. The academy is open to all girls in grades 7–12 who are interested in learning more about fastpitch pitching.
