Men's 4x800 Relay Breaks Into All-Time Top 10 at Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa - The North Dakota State men's 4x800 relay team broke into the all-time top 10 at the Drake Relays Friday, April 27. The team of Travis Fitzke, Alec Espeland, Moses Heppner and Tyler Leverington finished seventh in a time of 7 minutes 32.01 seconds. Their time is tied for seventh in school history.
The team of Nate Mattson, Lee Dhein, Parker McKittrick and Jerome Begin also finished seventh in the 4x200 relay in 1:27.61.
Jeramy Geditz tied for 20th in the high jump after clearing 6 feet 6 ¾ inches. In the 110 meter hurdle preliminaries, Matt Tetzlaff was 16th in 14.49 seconds.
The 4x100 relay team of Tetzlaff, Mattson, Jason Duchscherer and Dhein was 13th in the prelims in 41.83 seconds. The 4x400 team of Duchscherer, Begin, Weston Leutz and Tetzlaff was 20th in the prelims in 3:19.34.
NDSU will compete in the final day of Drake Relays tomorrow beginning at 8:40 a.m. with the shuttle hurdle relay preliminaries.
