NDSU Women Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honor

NEW ORLEANS - The North Dakota State women's track and field team earned the All-Academic award from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association for the 2012 season.

North Dakota State finished the academic year with a team cumulative GPA of 3.36 and was one of five Summit League teams on the list along with Fort Wayne, Oakland, South Dakota and South Dakota State.

Duke (3.58), Wofford (3.53) and Weber State (3.52) were the top three of 171 Division I teams that were recognized with cumulative team GPAs of 3.0 or better.

Arkansas and Stanford earned the USTFCCCA Scholar Team of the Year awards as the highest placing teams at the NCAA championships with at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA.  Arkansas was fifth indoors and Stanford sixth outdoors.
