Goodman Advances to 200 Meter Quarterfinals at NCAA West Preliminary Round

AUSTIN, Texas - North Dakota State sophomore Antoinette Goodman moved into the 200 meter quarterfinals after her strong performance in the first round at the NCAA West Preliminary Round on Friday, May 25. Goodman clocked in at 23.89 seconds to automatically qualify after finishing third in her heat. She was 16th overall as the top 27 advanced to the quarterfinals.
In the 800 meter quarters, Brittany Schanandore finished 19th in a time of 2 minutes 8.57 seconds. The top 12 finishers advanced to the NCAA Championships.
Maddie McClellan took 14th in the steeplechase after clocking in at 10:27.41, missing out on a spot at the NCAA Championships by only two places. She was seventh out of 16 in her heat. Amy Jo Thorne was 24th in the steeple with a time of 10:42.13.
Goodman will run the 200 meter quarterfinals Saturday at 7:50 p.m. The Bison women will also compete in the 4x400 relay quarterfinals at 9:45 p.m.
