Bison Women Compete at Rain-Shortened Aztec Invitational

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The North Dakota State women's track and field team only competed in three events at the Aztec Invitational on Saturday, March 17 as the meet was shortened due to inclement weather.
Senior Amy Jo Thorne led six Bison in the 1,500 meters. Thorne finished 14th in 4 minutes 38.17 seconds. Maddie McClellan was 17th in 4:39.84, while Jordan Krahn was 24th in 4:46.00. Abbi Aspengren was just behind Krahn in 25th with a time of 4:46.07. Marissa Dahlquist took 28th in 4:50.03 and Heidi Peterson was 36th in 4:56.83.
The 4x100 relay team of Deborah John, Ashley Tingelstad, Paige Stratioti and Antoinette Goodman placed sixth in 47.80 seconds.
Toni Tollefson did not clear a height in the high jump.
The Bison next compete in the Sun Angel Classic in Tempe, Ariz. April 6-7.
