Release: November 01, 2010

ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State senior Marissa Wolfgram was named the Summit League women's soccer defensive player of the week for the second time this season after leading the Bison to their second straight league tournament bid.

Wolfgram scored her first goal of the season in the 9-0 win over Centenary.  On the defensive end, she helped limit the Ladies to only one shot as the Bison registered their seventh shutout of the year.

Against Oral Roberts, Wolfgram assisted on fellow senior Quin Ryan's equalizer at the beginning of the second half.  Midway through the half, she scored the game-winning goal on a penalty kick. With the game on the line, Wolfgram helped shut down the Oral Roberts offense and kept them from taking a single shot in the second half.  The Champlin, Minn. native also kept the Golden Eagles' leading scorer from taking a shot throughout the game.

Wolfgram was also named defensive player of the week on Oct. 18.  The Bison have earned six of the 11 defensive player of the week awards this season.

Wolfgram and the Bison take on South Dakota State in the Summit League Tournament at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in Brookings, S.D.
