Aspengren’s Performance History and Personal Bests

2011-12 SEASON

Cross Country (Freshman): Named Newcomer of The Summit League Championships (10/29) as the highest-placing true freshman ... NDSU's No. 5 finisher at the Summit League Championships, placing 21st overall with a 6k time of 22:55.16 to help the Bison to a team title ... placed 80th at the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/12) with her fastest 6k time of the season at 22:49.66 ... also took 10th place at the Tim Young Invitational (10/15) with a 5k time of 18:28.84.

INDOOR (Freshman): Moved into sixth place all-time at NDSU in the 5,000m with a sixth-place finish at the Summit League Indoor Championships in 17:27.36 ... season-best 3,000m time of 10:06.37 at the Bison Open on Feb. 11 ... recorded a time of 5:08.03 in the mile at the Bill Bergan Invitational on Jan. 28.

OUTDOOR (Freshman): All-Summit League performer in the 10,000m, placing third at the conference meet in 37:11.01 ... ranked eighth all-time at NDSU in the 10,000m at the conclusion of the season ... moved into 10th all-time at NDSU in the 5,000m with her time of 17:22.44 at the Sun Angel Classic on Apr. 7 ... season-best 1500m time of 4:40.96 at the Beach Invitational on Apr. 21.

HIGH SCHOOL: Distance runner out of Elk River High School ... Finished seventh at the 2010 Minnesota state cross country championships ... Fifth at the cross country state meet as a junior ... Two-time all-state honoree ... Personal best 5k time is 18:25 and 4k time is 14:22 ... Ran track and field as a freshman and sophomore ... Also involved in NHS and Spanish Club.
