Single-Session Tickets for Summit League Basketball Championships On Sale Monday

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Single-session tickets for the Summit League men's and women's basketball championships March 9-12 at Sioux Falls Arena will go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 18. 

Quarterfinal and semifinal single-session tickets are $18.50 each and include two men's games or two women's games.  Championship tickets will be $17 for the women's game and $17 for the men's game.

Tickets are available by phone toll free at 1-800-745-3000, online at Ticketmaster.com, or through Ticketmaster outlets.

"Pre-tournament sales have far outpaced previous years," stated Wesley Hall, the new Executive Director of the Sioux Falls Sports Authority.  "Sioux Falls and the surrounding area have truly embraced this amazing event and it is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after tickets in town." 

Sioux Falls has played host to the Summit League basketball championships since 2009, making Sioux Falls the longest-running continuous host for the basketball championships in the Summit League's illustrious 31-year history.  Last year over 40,000 spectators attended the event, setting an all-time Summit League attendance record. 

Striking a new five-year deal with the Summit League in 2012, the Sioux Falls Sports Authority will host the Summit League basketball championships through 2017.  Included in the agreement is an option to host the tournament for an additional five years, which could allow the tournament to stay in Sioux Falls until 2022.
