Oral Roberts Glides to 11th Straight Win

TULSA, Okla.--Kevi Luper scored a game-high 32 points and Oral Roberts shot 55 percent from three-point defeated North Dakota State 98-69 in a Summit League women's basketball game played Saturday, Feb. 5, in the Mabee Center. The Golden Eagles extended their current win streak to 11 games.
North Dakota State (10-12, 6-6 Summit) is scheduled to play Centenary (0-19, 0-12 Summit) at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, in the Gold Dome. The Ladies lost 83-50 to South Dakota State on Saturday.
Savanna Buck and Kevi Luper each scored 14 points and Oral Roberts hit 9 of 13 from the three-point line to build a 49-35 halftime lead. ORU scored 13 points off of 13 turnovers in the opening period.
The Golden Eagles (16-7, 12-0 Summit) didn't trail in the game, but the Bison cut the deficit to three points on several occasions in the first half, the last at 28-25 on an Abby Plucker free throw line jumper with 6:21 left.
Plucker led the Bison with 26 points and nine rebounds. She reached 20-plus points for the sixth time this season and ninth time in her career.
Janae Burich scored 17 points and Katie Birkel added 10 points for the Bison.
Oral Roberts shot 50.7 percent from the field including the 54.7 percent from the three-point line. NDSU made only 39.7 percent from the field and committed 25 turnovers. The Golden Eagles held a 38-36 rebounding edge.
Jordan Pyle netted 19 points and Buck finished with 15 for ORU.
