Anderson Eight Shots Back After First Round of NCAA West Regional

ERIE, Colo. - North Dakota State's Amy Anderson is eight shots back after the first round of the NCAA West Regional women's golf tournament Thursday, May 10, at the Colorado National Golf Club.
Anderson, a junior from Oxbow, N.D., shot a 3-over-par 75. Stanford's Sydney Burlison shot a 5-under 67 and has a two-shot cushion over Baylor's Hayley Davis on the individual leaderboard.
Stanford leads the team race with a 1-under 287, North Carolina is one shot back at even-par 288, UCLA is third (290), LSU fourth (291), Illinois and California are tied for fifth (296), and California, Pepperdine and Tulsa are tied for seventh (297).
The top eight teams plus two individuals not on those teams will advance to the NCAA championship May 22-25 at Vanderbilt.
Two 18-hole rounds remain in the West Regional. Anderson is scheduled to tee off at 12:45 p.m. MT on Friday, May 11, and 8:25 a.m. MT on Saturday, May 12.
