North Dakota State Wins 3-1 at IUPUI

INDIANAPOLIS--Lauren McLaughlin had 19 kills and Chrissy Knuth added 16 kills and five blocks as North Dakota State defeated IUPUI 24-26, 25-17, 25-23, 25-18 in Summit League women's volleyball Saturday, Oct. 24, at The Jungle.

It was the 32nd straight Summit League victory for North Dakota State, which improved to 17-3 overall and 13-0 in The Summit League.  IUPUI slipped to 15-9 overall and 7-6 in the league.

Brooke VandenBergh added 12 kills as the Bison outhit IUPUI by a .268 to .121 margin.  Setter Jennifer Lopez dished out a career-high 54 assists for NDSU.

Libero Kelly Lopez made 23 digs to lead six Bison players in double digits.  Andrea Henning had 16 digs, VandenBergh made 13, Knuth and Jennifer Lopez had 11 digs each, and Abbey Perez made 10 digs.

NDSU had an 11-6 advantage in blocks.  Knuth and Jennifer Lopez had five apiece and Brynn Joki and Paige Nash had four apiece.

Kalyse Reimbold had 19 kills and 13 digs for IUPUI and Shari Bernhardt made 27 digs.

North Dakota State is scheduled to host UMKC on Friday, Oct. 30, and Southern Utah on Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
