McClellan’s Performance History and Personal Bests

2011-12 SEASON

Cross Country (Sophomore): Second-team All-Summit League performer, taking 12th place at The Summit League Championships (10/29) ... NDSU's No. 3 finisher at the conference meet in 22:36.52 ... NDSU's No. 2 finisher and 60th place overall at the NCAA Midwest Regional in 22:31.98 ... recorded a season-best 6k time of 21:26.37 at the Bison Open (9/30).

INDOOR (Sophomore): Third in the mile and eighth in the 5,000m at the Summit League Indoor Championships ... anchored the Bison to a runner-up finish in the distance medley relay at the conference meet ... season-best mile time of 4:55.48 at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Feb. 4 ranks her No. 7 all-time at NDSU in the event ... 5,000m time of 17:31.03 at the conference meet ranks her No. 7 all-time at NDSU ... ran three sub-five-minute miles on the season.

OUTDOOR (Sophomore): Summit League champion in the 3,000m steeplechase, setting a school record, championships record and facility record at the 2012 Summit League Outdoor Championships in 10:19.39 ... NCAA West Preliminary Rounds qualifier in the steeplechase, placing 14th in Austin, Texas ... also placed sixth at the Summit League Outdoor Championships in the 5,000m and 1,500m ... season-best 1,500m time of 4:31.61 at the conference meet ranks No. 8 all-time at NDSU ... finished the 5,000m in 17:22.75 at the Summit Championships ... won the 3,000m steeplechase at the Mt. SAC Relays and finished third at the Drake Relays ... ran a leg on the 4x1600m relay team that finished sixth at Drake with the second-fastest time in school history.

2010-11 SEASON
Cross Country (Freshman): Competed in all six races for NDSU...Finished fifth in the 5k NDSU Open in 19:26.67...Ran a personal best 6k time of 22:06.3 at the Tori Neubauer Invitational...Placed 19th at the 6k Summit League Championships in 22:22.1...Finished 129th at the NCAA Midwest Regional (6k) in 22:40.29...Summit League Fall All-Academic team.
Indoor (Freshman): Ran the mile at two meets and the 3,000 meters at one...Ran the 3,000 meters in 10:21.89 at the Bill Bergan Invitational...Finished sixth in the mile at the Summit League Championships in a personal best time of 5:04.25.
Outdoor (Freshman): Distance runner for the Bison...Ran a personal best time of 4:39.43 in the 1,500 meters at the Beach Invitational...Time of 11:08.31 in the steeplechase at the Duke Invitational is fifth all-time at NDSU...Placed third in the 1,500 meters at the Summit League Championships in 4:39.79...Also took fourth in steeplechase in 11:16.23 and 10th in the 5,000 meters in 18:04.50 at the league championships...Summit League Winter/Spring All-Academic Team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Five-year letterwinner in cross country and track out of Perham High School...Five-time all-conference honoree in cross country...Four-time all-state selection...Won the Minnesota state title and section crown as a senior...Claimed the Minnesota class A state title in the 3,200 meters in 2008 and 2009...Won the section title in the 3,200 meters three straight times and the 1,600 meters in 2006...Holds school records in the 4k, 3,200 meters and 4x800 meters...Finished second in the 3,200 meters at the Nike National meet in 2009.

PERSONAL: Daughter of Jason and Patricia McClellan...Has one younger brother, Shane...Majoring in English education.
