Kruchowski Earns Summit League Track Athlete of the Week

North Dakota State senior Faith Kruchowski was awarded The Summit League's Women's Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Week for her 800m performance at the Bison Classic on Jan. 12.

Kruchowski (Trail, Minn.) garnered her first career Athlete of the Week award after posting the 12th-fastest 800m time in the nation and helping North Dakota State win the double-dual Bison Classic. The senior finished second in the 800m with a time of 2:11.62, which leads The Summit League. Kruchowski finished behind Minnesota's Alena Brooks, who currently ranks fifth in nation in the event.

Kruchowski was the 2012 Summit League runner-up in the indoor 800m.

The North Dakota State women's track and field team will compete at the Jack Johnson Classic in Minneapolis, Minn., on Jan. 18-19.
