NDSU Men Four Shots Back After First Day at Kansas City

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - The North Dakota State men's golf team is in second place after the first two rounds of the Bill Ross Intercollegiate at the Milburn Country Club on Monday, Oct. 15.
North Dakota State shot two of its best four rounds of the year scoring 290 and 286. NDSU's two-round score of 576 is just four shots back of tournament host Kansas City.
NDSU's Nathan Anderson is alone in fourth place at 3-under-par 141 after rounds of 69 and 72. Bill Carlson is tied for 10th at even-par 144 and Trent Olson is tied for 12th at 145 after both shot 1-under in the second round.
Bison freshman Connor Holland is tied for 14th place with a 146 and senior Nate Varty is tied for 63rd with a 154.
Arkansas State is third in the 14-team event with a 585, Missouri State is fourth (588) and Creighton is tied with South Dakota for fifth (590). Summit League teams Western Illinois and Omaha are eighth and 12th, respectively.
USD's Samuel Matthew is the individual leader at 139 after shooting a 5-under-par 67 in the opening round. Kansas City's Antoine Rozner and Arkansas State's Easton Key are tied for second at 140.
The final 18-hole round is Tuesday morning.
