Bison Women Ready for SDSU Classic

The North Dakota State women's cross country team will compete in the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., on Friday evening for its second meet of the year.
The women's five-kilometer race at Edgebrook Golf Course is set to begin at 6:15 p.m., with the men's race to follow.
NDSU is coming off a team victory in the season-opening Bison Invitational held in Fargo on Aug. 31, where NDSU runners claimed the top four spots and six of the top seven overall. Redshirt freshman Brecca Wahlund took first place and was named The Summit League's Athlete of the Week following the meet.
NDSU is ranked No. 10 in the Midwest in the latest U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) regional poll.
The SDSU Classic will feature teams from around the Midwest, including Augustana, Minnesota, Minnesota State University Moorhead, North Dakota, North Dakota State, Northern State, South Dakota State, South Dakota State Alumni, SW Minnesota State and Valley City State.
