Anderson Up Three Shots, Bison Third After Two Rounds at Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. - Amy Anderson leads by three shots and the North Dakota State women's golf team is third after two rounds at the Nebraska Chip-N Club Invitational on Monday, Sept. 10, at the Country Club of Lincoln.

Anderson has a 3-over-par 147 ahead of Missouri's Katherine Hepler and Kansas State's Carly Ragains. Anderson's first-round 74 was four shots behind leader Alexandra Rossi of Southern Methodist, who shot 81 in the second round.

North Dakota State shot a 306 in the first round and 318 in the second round.  The Bison are tied with Iowa for third place with a 624 behind first-place Missouri (611) and second-place Southern Methodist (614).

NDSU sophomore Sarah Storandt is tied for 15th place at 156 after a pair of 78's and junior Abby Knutson is tied for 24th with a 158 after rounds of 76 and 82.

Bison junior Megan Swan (81-85) and freshman Hailey Boner (78-88) are tied for 45th place at 166.  Individual Cassie Wurm (82-83) is tied for 43rd place at 165.

The final round begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11.  Anderson won the event in 2009 and 2010 at Wilderness Ridge but placed second at the Country Club of Lincoln last year.
