NDSU to Hold Men’s Track & Field Tryouts Sept. 12

The North Dakota State University men's track & field team will be holding tryouts on Sept. 12 for any interested NDSU students.

The tryouts will take place at 3:45 p.m. on Wed., Sept. 12, at the Ellig Sports Complex, located on 15th Ave. N. west of Newman Outdoor Field.

Events will include the pole vault, throwing events, jumps, sprints and mid-distance events. Any distance runners interested in trying out for events of one mile or longer should contact NDSU head men's track & field coach Don Larson at (701) 793-0479.

Students participating in the tryouts must be full-time students enrolled at NDSU for the Fall 2012 semester. Demonstration of NCAA Division I skills will be the benchmark used to evaluate athletic ability. Participants are expected to dress appropriately and provide any personal equipment necessary.
