NDSU's Anderson, Storandt in Top 10 After First Day of Jackrabbit Invitational

PRIMM, Nev. - Junior Amy Anderson and freshman Sarah Storandt from the North Dakota State women's golf team are in the top 10 after the first two rounds of the Jackrabbit Invitational on Monday, March 12, at the Primm Valley Lakes Course.
Anderson shot rounds of 75 and 76 and is nine shots back in a tie for fifth place at 151. Storandt fired a 75 in the opening round and followed with a 78 to end the day alone in 10th place with a 153.
North Dakota State is sixth in the 14-team field with team rounds of 311 and 323 for a score of 634. Oral Roberts is first with a 616 and Northern Iowa is five shots back in second. Monica Jung of 10th-place Southern Utah is the individual leader by five shots at 2-under-par 142.
For NDSU, sophomore Abby Knutson is tied for 41st with a 166, sophomore Megan Swan is tied for 55th with a 170, and senior Rachel Roller is tied for 62nd with a 162. Bison junior Cydney Hasselberg is tied for 68th with a 180 competing individually.
The final round of the 54-hole event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 13.
