NDSU's Luke Anderson Named Summit League Pitcher of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill. - North Dakota State's Luke Anderson was named Summit League baseball co-Pitcher of the Week by the league office on Monday, Feb. 20. It is his first career award.
Anderson, a senior right-hander from Savage, Minn., held No. 5-ranked Arizona to two hits and two earned runs with three strikeouts in an 8-2 victory on Saturday, Feb. 18.
Anderson held Arizona batters to an .095 average and retired seven straight to preserve a 2-2 tie before NDSU rallied for six runs in the eighth inning.
He shared the award with Western Illinois senior left-hander Rich Mascheri, who pitched seven scoreless innings with four hits and five strikeouts in a season-opening win at Georgia State.
Western Illinois outfielder Dan Dispensa was named Player of the Week after hitting .583 (7-for-12) with three doubles, four RBIs, two walks, two stolen bases and three runs scored in the four-game series at Georgia State.
North Dakota State (1-2) is scheduled to play a four-game series at Northern Colorado (0-0) beginning Friday, Feb. 24.
