North Dakota State Faces Oral Roberts in Summit League Quarterfinals

THIS WEEK: No. 6 seed North Dakota State (11-17) will face No. 3 seed Oral Roberts (19-12) in the quarterfinals of the Summit League men’s basketball tournament Sunday, March 7. Game time is 8:30 p.m. at Sioux Falls Arena (6,300) in Sioux Falls, S.D. The winner advances to the semifinals Monday, March 8, and will play either No. 2 seed IUPUI or No. 7 seed Western Illinois, who have an 8:30 p.m. quarterfinal game Saturday, March 6. The championship is scheduled for 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 9.

RADIO: WDAY-AM 970 of Fargo and Bison Radio Network affiliate KFYR-AM 550 in Bismarck will broadcast Sunday’s quarterfinal game beginning at 8:10 p.m. with Scott Miller calling the play-by-play and Jeremy Jorgenson as color analyst. A free audio stream will be available online at GoBison.com.

VIDEO STREAMING: Live video streaming of the men’s and women’s quarterfinal and semifinal games will be available exclusively by subscription to SummitTV on TheSummitLeague.org. Prices are $19.95 for a tournament pass or $4.95 per game. Monthly and annual subscriptions are also available.

THE SERIES: Sunday will be the ninth meeting between North Dakota State and Oral Roberts in a series that was first played in 1967-68. The series is tied 4-4 after ORU won both regular-season games this year, 65-59 in Fargo and 71-57 in Tulsa.

Monday would be the seventh meeting between North Dakota State and IUPUI dating back to 2007-08. The Jaguars lead the series 4-2 after sweeping the regular-season series 86-74 in Indianapolis and 66-52 in Fargo.

Monday would be the seventh meeting between North Dakota State and Western Illinois dating back to 2007-08. NDSU has won five straight and leads the series 5-1 after winning 60-55 in Macomb and 63-59 in overtime last Saturday in Fargo.
