NDSU's Sam Sussenguth scored a career-high 16 points off the bench against South Dakota State last month.

THIS WEEK: The North Dakota State men’s basketball team (9-14, 6-7) plays its first of three straight Summit League road games this week when the Bison face third-place South Dakota State (13-11, 9-4) on Saturday, Feb. 13. Game time is 7:30 p.m. at Frost Arena (6,500) in Brookings, S.D. NDSU climbed back into a tie for fifth place in the league Saturday with a 20-point home win over Southern Utah and IPFW’s home loss to Centenary.

RADIO: WDAY-AM 970 of Fargo and Bison Radio Network affiliates KFYR-AM 550 in Bismarck and KRCQ-FM 102.3 in Detroit Lakes, Minn., will broadcast beginning at 7:10 p.m. with Scott Miller calling the play-by-play and Jeremy Jorgenson as color analyst.

TELEVISION: Midcontinent and Mediacom cable systems will televise Saturday’s game live with Tom Niemanwith calling the play-by-play and Al Bahe handling the color. Coverage begins at 5 p.m. for the NDSU-SDSU women’s basketball game. Midcontinent will be Channel 23 and Mediacom will be Channel 10 in most areas. Check your local listings.

THE SERIES: This will be the 200th meeting between North Dakota State and South Dakota State dating back to 1909-10. NDSU has won seven straight and has a 106-93 lead in the series after a 79-67 victory in Fargo last month. Eric Carlson scored a game-high 23 points for NDSU, South Dakota native Michael Tveidt had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Sam Sussenguth came off the bench to get a career-high 16 points and eight boards. SDSU’s last victory in the series was 67-65 at Frost Arena in Brookings on Feb. 18, 2006.
