Joki Named Summit League Offensive Player of the Week

ELMHURST, Ill.--North Dakota State outside hitter Brynn Joki was named Summit League women's volleyball Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 2.

Joki, a freshman from Grand Rapids, Minn., hit .633 with zero attacking errors and averaged 3.17 kills per set in North Dakota State's 3-0 victories over UMKC and Southern Utah last week.

Joki hit .625 with 10 kills, five digs, two blocks and a career-high two service aces in the win over UMKC.  She had a career-high .643 hitting percentage with nine kills, seven digs and three blocks against Southern Utah.

IUPUI libero Shari Bernhardt earned her second straight Defensive Player of the Week award after averaging 6.14 digs per set in two league wins.  Bernhardt made a career-high 29 digs in a 3-1 win at Oral Roberts.

North Dakota State (19-3, 15-0) is scheduled to host South Dakota State (9-15, 8-7) at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
