Carlson Shoots 72 to Lead Bison Men in First Round of Jackrabbit Invitational

PRIMM, Nev. - North Dakota State's men's golf team is tied for seventh place after the first round of the South Dakota State Jackrabbit Invitational at Primm Valley Golf Club on Monday, March 11.
North Dakota State tied Southern Illinois with a 292 led by Bill Carlson's even-par 72 and Nathan Anderson's 73. Trent Olson and Nate Varty both scored 75 and Connor Holland turned in an 81.
Play started late due to frost and the second round was suspended until Tuesday. A third round is also scheduled for Tuesday.
Air Force led the first round with a 276, Idaho was second with a 278 and South Dakota State was third with a 288.
Idaho's Gordon Webb and North Dakota's Alex Robb were the co-leaders after one round at 7-under-par 65.
