North Dakota State Plays at Akron in Ramada Worldwide BracketBusters Feb. 22

FARGO, N.D. - The North Dakota State men's basketball team will play at Akron at 7 p.m. EST on Friday, Feb. 22, in the Ramada Worldwide BracketBusters. The game will be televised live on ESPN2.
Akron is 17-4 overall and leads the Mid-American Conference East Division with an 8-0 record. The Zips have the longest active winning streak in Division I at 13 games.
North Dakota State is 18-5 overall and is part of a three-way tie for first place in The Summit League with South Dakota State and Western Illinois at 9-2 in the league.
The matchup will feature two of the top shooters in Division I. Akron 7-footer Zeke Marshall is shooting 70.9 percent and North Dakota State's Marshall Bjorklund leads the official NCAA stats at 70.7 percent.
North Dakota State is 2-0 in BracketBuster games. NDSU won 77-69 at Milwaukee in 2009 and won 86-73 at home against Western Michigan last year.
This is the first meeting between North Dakota State and Akron. NDSU is 3-2 against teams from the Mid-American Conference, including last year's win over Western Michigan.
The Bison will be making their first
appearance on ESPN2 since winning the 2009 Summit League championship game.
North Dakota State plays at Oakland at 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Feb. 7, and at Fort Wayne at 7 p.m. EST on Saturday, Feb. 9.
