NDSU Men Take Five Shot Lead Into Final Round of Jackrabbit Fall Invitational

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The North Dakota State men's golf team will take a five-shot lead into the final round of the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational after shooting rounds of 290 and 289 on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Minnehaha Country Club.
North Dakota State leads the eight-team tournament with a 579, South Dakota State is second with a 584, Northern Iowa third with a 587, South Dakota fourth with a 593 and North Dakota fifth with a 604.
NDSU senior Nathan Anderson is tied for second place at 2-over-par 142 after shooting a 4-over 74 and a 2-under 68. Northern Iowa's Glenn Walls is the individual leader at 141 after rounds of 71 and 70.
The Bison have three of the tournament's top six golfers through two rounds. Sophomore Bill Carlson is two shots back in fourth place with a 143, and sophomore Trent Olson three shots off the lead tied for fifth at 144.
North Dakota State freshman Connor Holland is tied for 20th with a 152 and senior Nate Varty is tied for 24th with a 153.
The final round is scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun start Monday, Oct. 1.
