NDSU Football Heads Into First Full Week of Fall Camp With Momentum

FARGO, N.D.--North Dakota State University football completed the fourth of five acclimatization workouts Sunday, Aug. 5, on the grass practice fields and heads into the first full week of fall training camp on a roll.
"It's a spirited practice out there today," said North Dakota State head coach Craig Bohl, who kept on a watchful on the 95 Bison players went through the afternoon practice which included a healthy dose of double-repetitions.
To break up the monotony, one of the 24-periods featured the "Bison Challenge". In a different third and long situation, defensive end Michael Hardie battled offensive tackle Andrew Nack; defensive end Ricky Hagen took on tight end Derek Lee; wide receiver Zach Vraa faced off with defensive back Andre' Martin, and cornerback Marcus Williams went toe-to-toe with wide receiver Ryan Smith. The first offense and defense, and the second offense and defense also did battle.
Monday is the final acclimatization workout, the Bison then have 2-A-day practices scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 7, and Thursday, Aug. 9.
North Dakota State has a scrimmage scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 18.
The Bison open the 2012 season against Robert Morris at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome.
